  11. I'm trying to install a Boca 28.8 DSVD speakerphone modem, and it's
  12. giving me headaches! For some reason Windows insists on installing the
  13. modem on COM5 instead of COM3 where the old modem was installed. In
  14. one of my fits of stupidity, I disabled COM1 thinking that there was
  15. an IRQ conflict with COM3, but that didn't help and now I can't
  16. re-enable COM1.

  18. So, I've got 2 questions:

  20. 1) How do I restore COM1?
  21. 2) Can I "force" the modem to install to COM3?
