- I'm trying to install a Boca 28.8 DSVD speakerphone modem, and it's
- giving me headaches! For some reason Windows insists on installing the
- modem on COM5 instead of COM3 where the old modem was installed. In
- one of my fits of stupidity, I disabled COM1 thinking that there was
- an IRQ conflict with COM3, but that didn't help and now I can't
- re-enable COM1.
-
- So, I've got 2 questions:
-
- 1) How do I restore COM1?
- 2) Can I "force" the modem to install to COM3?
-
- Thanks!
